Public Safety Final Project: The Availability of Low-Cost Housing in Communities across Minnesota
Presented to a large group of colleagues and faculty.
The purpose of this project was to allow working families as well as returnees from federal and state institutions to have
access to affordable housing.
Give them the same opportunity the rest of us have in order to avoid long commutes and stay connected with friends and
family members.
More importantly, to allow them raise their children in the right communities, and help reduce homelessness across the
state.

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) Practitioner works collaboratively with community-based agencies and
implements rehabilitative mental health services. Basic skills provided include social skills a nd community intervention services to
eligible recipients as well as persons with mental illness issues and chemical dependency issues.
Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical interviews, make diagnostic assessments, and formulate treatment or referral plans for individuals
with broad spectrum of psychological problems. Attend and participate in week long new hire training.
Provide individual, couples/family, group counseling, and crisis intervention for counseling emergencies.
Attend and participate in 8 week follow up training from 8-11 on Fridays after first week of new hire.
Provide counseling to diverse populations (racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, gender, LGBTIQ, abilities, age, etc.) and
a commitment to actively engage in practice with diverse populations.

People Incorporated (Intensive Residential Treatment Center) Saint Paul, MN
Provided direct services to all 16 clients of the intensive residential treatment services center and maintained primary case
management for approximately 5-6 clients. Initiated an ongoing evaluation to determine function level and identification of needs.
Responsibilities:
Held weekly meeting with clients to determine their strengths and progress throughout the length of stay and provided
ongoing supportive counseling.
Taught daily skills such as: anxiety/depression management for mentally-ill and chemically-dependent people from different
