KARL G. AVEARD

*** *********** ********, #*** 951-***-****

Rowley, MA 01969 *******@*****.***

POSITION OVERVIEW

The position I seek will take advantage of skills that easily transfer from

my previous experience plus my ability to acknowledge new and interesting

challenges. The new challenge should be in the laboratory industry as a

project manager, sales or marketing specialist, design team consultant or

other discipline which would be an appropriate match for my skills and

wealth of knowledge. Transferable skills include a strong technical

background in mechanical ventilation systems, HVAC, organization,

supervision, and sales and marketing. I am computer software literate and

have experience working with various software packages including,

spreadsheets, database, and word processing and CADD programs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

ERLAB, INC., Boston, MA

2009 - 2013

Vice President, GFH Technology USA

Erlab presented an amazing opportunity from two new and different

perspectives. The first and most obvious was from income producing. The

salary offered was 40% above that being produced by LS. So the decision to

relocate to Boston was heavily influenced by economics. California vs. New

England weather was trumped by money so off to Boston. The second factor

influencing the decision was the opportunity to become expert in a new

technology. My position required me to study and become proficient in the

science of molecular adsorption; an area few in America are familiar with.

Erlab is a French company so new challenges ensued, were met and

overcome. My sales and marketing arena included the design community,

environmental health & safety, construction and the owners. Objections to

this new technology were different from each and responses were tailored to

each in order to overcome their resistance. This stop on my career path

filled in a unique blank that will serve me well in the future.

LIGHTHOUSE SCIENTIFIC, Temecula, CA

2006 - 2009 President

As founding principal of LS I entered a new chapter in my career. The

company represented a chance to make all of the business decisions; proving

I could run my own business and be successful. I was and enjoyed being the

business manager, the marketing manager and the sales manager. During its

existence Lighthouse Scientific consulted for Flow Science, Durcon, ESCO

and others. The success was interrupted by a phone call from Erlab, Inc.;

that made an offer I could not refuse.
