Follow the operation process sheet and Customer QP.

Verification of the WPS(Welding Procedure specification), PQR(Procedure

Qualification Record)and WPQR(Welder performance qualification Record).

Verify list of qualified welders indicating the process and positions in

which they are qualified.

Monitoring and control of welding process, parameters, and electrodes with

respect to the applicable WPS.

Monitoring and checking the use of pre- heat temperature, interpass

temperature and Post heating temperatures in accordance with WPS

Monitoring the welding sequence in order to control distortion.

Effectively identify the critical parameters, dimensions that will be taken

care during the Fabrication.

Troubleshoot welding problems, make recommendations for improvement and

develop corrective actions.

Inspection of the welded components for visual and dimensional tolerance.

Monitoring the PWHT Cycle and Verification of the PWHT chart.

Witnessing and checking the Hydro testing of the component for pressure

drop and leakage.

Final inspection of the components for visual and dimensional tolerances.

Coordinate with other departments in all interface activities related to

inspection of fab ricated items.

Co- ordination of inspection activities with third party inspection

agencies like Deputy Director of Boilers (DDOB), Lloyd s., TPL, TUV etc.,

Investigating & analyzing customer complaints to determine the corrective

action & preventive action.

Preparation of internal Quality control Reports at various stages of the

jobs.

Handled shop-floor workforce tactfully to achieve planned targets.

Ensure safety in shop floor and welding is done safe manner.

Reporting to Manager - Quality regarding all Quality aspects and job.
