Dear Sir
I have been working in the oil and gas field for about 12 years. My
interest in oil & Gas industry started after my graduation when I began to
look for a carrier at an oil & Gas company.
The chance came when I was appointed as an electrical maintenance engineer,
Rashid petroleum Company in Egypt. I gained much experience in carrying out
the different activities appointed to me in the different plant facilities
in the onshore fields, offshore platforms, marine ports and metering &
exports terminals.
My responsibilities included participating and supervising the different
Operation and maintenance activities (preventive, predictive & corrective
maintenance) of the electrical equipments including generators, motors,
transformers, HVAC, lighting, gas turbines, diesel engines,
switchgears...etc then feeding back in our computerized maintenance
management system (CMMS). I was also responsible for supervising the
different taskforces, carrying out toolbox talks and risk assessment and
job safety analysis managing to optimize the required manpower and maintain
their own safety as well as securing the company's assets' integrity and
improve its equipment reliability.
After two years, I as appointed as a senior authorized electrical personnel
(SAEP) responsible for the maintenance and operation of the higher voltage
levels of the power system.
Then in 2004 I had the chance, as a part of the operation team, to
participate in the company's new project (Scarab/Saffron) the first gas
production from the deep water in the Middle East. The project was
implemented by the major design and construction companies in the world. I
was part of a team responsible for reviewing the project specifications,
preliminary design and follow up the construction works onsite and if
required raise the required punch lists and site queries on behalf of the
operation team. Then I had the chance to participate in the preparation of
the black start procedure of the plant. Finally, I was a part of a team
responsible for the preparation of the maintenance inspection work
instruction (MIWI) of the plant's electrical equipments.
Then in 2005 I had the chance to achieve the same role in the plant new
facilities in simian, sienna and sapphire then in the phase 2 of Rosetta
fields.
I had had the honor to be a part of the plant operation team reaching a
production record of more than 2500 MMSCF/D and a record of 9 million man
hours without ant lost time injury (LTI).
I was then transferred to the Egyptian LNG (A major multinational gas
liquefaction Co.) where I was appointed as an electrical engineer.
Finally, I shifted my career towards the Gulf region in the year 2008 to
join ZADCO as one of the major oil fields of ADNOC (UAE) as an electrical
engineer in the Maintenance support Department of ZIRKU Island producing
oil over 800,000 BPD.
I do believe that I can contribute to success of your reputable company.
Sincerely yours,
Tamer A. El Shazly
