B.Tech Project

Project Name : PC to PC communication using Infrared LED/Laser.

In this project I designed a circuit (with MAX 232 interfacing) in

establishing communication between two PCs by infrared beam. I used

infrared LED as transmitter and photodiode as receiver.

Data signals transmitted through D connector of RS232 COM port were sent to

MAX232.

It converts the RS232 compatible signals of 9v to 0/5v TTL levels to

switch on IR LED.

These IR signals are detected by the photodiode which is coupled with

MAX232 to convert back the 0/5v signals to 9v and thus communication was

established.
