Materials Supervisor
In my current position of Materials Supervisor, I am acting as the
Materials Manager and am responsible for Shipping (both mixer trucks and
mixer components), Receiving, Material Handling, and inventory. I update
and am responsible for any customer back orders as well as ensuring the
shop floor has work orders for all product to be made. I am also
responsible for reviewing the operating plan on a regular basis to make
changes as dictaded by business conditions.

Manufacturing Communications Representative
In the position of Manufacturing Communications Representative, I was
the main liason between customer service (both Canadian and US
Representatives) and our manufacturing departments with either quality,
manufacturing or materials issues. I analyzed the schedule in an effort to
improve efficiencies while ensuring shipping deadlines are not missed. I
was responsible to review and approve changes to the orders in the system.
Provided full coverage for 14 months for the Materials Supervisor while she
was away on maternity leave. One of my side projects was to review the
Customer Owned Material program and improve the process, including
developing an online application to reduce the time required for testing.

Systems Expert / Material Release Analyst
In the position of Systems Expert / Material Release Analyst, I was
responsible for ordering the steel used by the company to stamp the seat
belt and airbag components we produced on our 31 presses. In addition, I
was responsible for our outside stamping facility, ensuring they receive
current requirements weekly and have the correct amount of steel on hand to
make our requirements. I was able to reduce the raw inventory on hand by
over 30%. We have implemented a new shipping module of SAP and worked on
projects to implement new software packages which tie in with SAP to our
data collection software used on the shop floor.

In the position of Materials Supervisor, I was responsible for
Material Release Analysts who are responsible to ensure Windo Motion's
suppliers know what to ship. I was also responsible for over $10 million
dollars of inventory and worked on a project to reduce this on hand
inventory to $8 million by the 3rd quarter. I was been able to reduce the
variances for the last two physical inventories to less than 2% dollar
variance.

In the position of Materials Team Leader, I was responsible for the
accuracy of the inventory, scheduling the shop floor, vendor releases for
our painters and Customer Service. I have headed a team to reduce
inventory variance and overall inventory dollars and are a member of a
number of other teams. This position also includes being the Materials
Department Document Control Coordinator, who is responsible to ensure that
all Work Instructions, Form Controlled Documents, and Standard Operating
Procedures are current. I am a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and have
completed two projects on inventory control and improving production
efficiency.
