Environmental Specialist
Served as the Water Program Manager for the Navy. Work was part of practicum experience while
achieving Master’s degree in Public Health. Wrote briefs and attended regular meetings regarding water
and wastewater compliance issues that affected the navy and joint services. Worked inside the Navy with
the Major Claimants on all water and wastewater issues. Assisted with the closures of Notices of
Violations assigned to the Major Claimants. Also evaluated Navy impacts on impaired water bodies
through a watershed approach. Attended the EPA NPDES Permit Writers Course. The organization
acknowledged my work and hired me on in a temporary position at the end of the practicum.
