Qualifications

• ASCP Certified

• Bilingual-English/Spanish

• Knowledgeable regarding safety policy and procedures in a Lab environment

• Competent in the use of instruments for routine/non-routine processing of tissue and fluid

specimens/slides preparation

• Read and follow SOP’s, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills

• Ability to use cryostat and perform microtomy of embedded tissue

• Properly embedd tissue with proper specimen orientation

• Perform proper cover slipping of slides either manually or automated

• IHC by hand including dilution of antibodies

• Gross tissues for processing
