$2.3M. P roject Manager for project to demolish an existing two-story Fire Training Structure
(Building 52) and install a new prefabricated /modular, four-story, 1,376-square foot Fire
T raining Structure complete with excavation and fill, concrete slab and foundation, site work
and electrical service at Clear AFS. Construction of the new structure included installation of
a subfloor radon evacuation system. As Project Manager, Mr. Bruno managed subcontractors,
i nterfaced with the client, maintained quality and safety on the jobsite, and ensured all cost
and schedule milestones were achieved.
Project Manager – Design-Build to Convert Launch Pad 1840, Vandenberg AFB, California,
A FCEC SATOC 08, FA3002-08-D-0008, QW04 (07144.6606), August 2012 to April 2013,
$498K. P roject Manager/QC Manager for conversion of the existing Peacekeeper Test Pad-01
(TP-01) to a M inotaur IV Conventional Strike M issile (CSM) Test Launch Pad. The scope
i ncluded patching and smoothing the existing concrete pad and designing, installing, and
testing the foot plates and anchor points to be f lush with the surface of the concrete pad and to

Project Manager – Repair HVAC Building 8250, Vandenberg AFB, California, AFCEC SATOC
08, FA3002-08-D-0008, QW05 (07144.6607), September 2011 to September 2012, $491K. Site
Superintendent/H &S Manager for the design and construction for the HVAC system repair in
B uilding 8250. ITSI Gilbane removed the existing unit and replaced it with a new 55-ton unit.
We installed an 11,500-CFM indoor AHU to include a new chilled water cooling coil, heating
coil, air side economizer and 95% efficiency fil ters. We also installed new VAV boxes (with
i ndividual electronic thermostats), supply and return registers in each room, CO2 sensors for
Demand-Controlled Ventilation in each classroom, and new Direct Digital Control standards
(BACnet or LanWorks). As Project Manager, Mr. Bruno managed subcontractors, interfaced
w ith the client, maintained quality and safety on the jobsite, and ensured all cost and schedule
m ilestones were achieved.
Project Manager and QC Manager – Marine Corps Reserve Training Center Facility Repair
and Modernization, US Marine Corps, USACE FRR; W912DY-08-D-0032, 0009 (07166.0008),

repair and renewal of the interior and exterior components, systems, and site under the
USACE Huntsville District Facility Repair and Renewal (FRR) ID IQ contract. Oversaw the
renovation work done to improve the working environment, provide energy savings, and
p rovide ADA compliance to meet life/safety requirements. In addition to the responsibilities as

P roject Manager – Repair Nosedock 2 Mechanical/Hangar Door Systems, US Air Force,
A FCEC SATOC; FA3002-08-D-0008, 0031 (07144.4503), Eielson AFB, Alaska, December 2009
to September 2010, $3.4M. D irected this project to design, reconfigure, and repair the HVAC
and hangar door system in Building 1121 under the AFCESA SATOC. The scope included
p roviding a new HVAC system, hangar door operating system, and hangar door t racks, and
reinstalling the repaired hangar doors and associated equipment. Work also covered
i nstallation of the hangar door t rack/apron ice melt system, electrical work, and seismic
supports, as well as hazardous material abatement. In addition, ITSI Gilbane repaired the
exterior hangar door skin, fur r ing, and fasteners. Wrote SOWs for three subcontractors,
conducted weekly meetings with client, managed the on-site superintendent, and prepared
submittals, including the Work Plan and material and equipment specifications. This project
was completed on schedule and within budget.
P roject Manager, Tuolumne City Sanitary District, Wastewater Treatment Plant
I mprovements, Tuolumne, California, July 2008 to December 2009, $5.7M. D irected
wastewater t reatment plant improvement project, which required construction of a concrete
headworks structure with a mechanical screen and screening washer, an aeration basin with
an integral clarifier, a masonry block blower building, and six manholes. Managed three
subcontractors in completing modifications to the existing aerated lagoons; installation of
u nderground piping and valves, a sewer lift station, and aeration equipment, including
b lowers and all electrical and controls; site grading and paving; and integration of the new
facilities with the existing operations. Prepared the project’s cost estimate, and oversaw the
completion of this project on schedule and approximately $250,000 under budget.
P roject Manager – Oakdale I r r igation District, South Main Canal Rehabili tation, Oakdale,
California, October 2008 to February 2009, $890K. M anaged removal and replacement of two
concrete control structures and appurtenances and the shotcrete lining of a portion of the

South Main Canal. Directed the team in self-performing 95% of the work, and managed one
subcontractor. Work included demolishing the two existing concrete control structures,
removing the existing shotcrete lining, reshaping 1,760 feet of the existing canal, exporting
over 8,000 cubic yards of unsuitable soil, placing 88,000 square feet of shotcrete, replacing five
l andowner tu rnouts, and installing 20 tons of r ip rap, 1,630 lineal feet of barbed wire fence
and entrance gates, 38 feet of 84-inch-diameter reinforced concrete pipe, and two control
structures complete with slide gates, catwalks, and concrete headwall. Prepared the project’s
cost estimate, and directed the completion of this project on schedule and within budget.
P roject Manager – Jamestown Mine Closure, Shaw Environmental L iability Solutions, L LC,
Jamestown, California, July 2006 to July 2008, $6.3M. Oversaw design-build project, which
required closure of the mine’s tailings management facility (TMF). Work included dewatering
approximately 200 acre feet of existing surface water pond on the TMF; excavating and placing
180,000 cubic yards of soil; fine grading the TMF to a minimum of 1% slope; screening,
s tockpiling, and placing 250,000 low-permeability cubic yards of protective layer soils;
i nstalling drainage structures; and hydroseeding disturbed areas. Led the project team in
completing work on schedule and $1 million under budget.
CQA Manager – San Joaquin County, North County Landfill Expansion, Lodi, California,
J une 2006 to October 2006. Provided CQA services for the installation of a geosynthetic liner
system for the landfill expansion. Managed the field staff and had overall responsibility for
construction testing and observation. Reviewed the staff’s daily activity reports, and prepared
weekly summaries to document site activities for the client. Established an excellent working
relationship with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), the lead
regulatory agency on the project. Prepared the construction quality control report, which was
accepted by the RWQCB.
P roject Manager – Trust for Public Land Tank Removal, San Diego County, California,
September 2005 to February 2006, $100K. D irected improvements to the access road and
removal of an existing 10,000-gallon fuel tank. Prepared the Closure Report and received
acceptance for clean closure of the site from San Diego County.
P roject Manager – City of Fresno, 14-Month Landscape Establishment Program, Landfill
C losure, Fresno, California, March 2004 to May 2005, $119K. Established and maintained a
135-acre grass ecosystem on the closed City of Fresno Sanitary Landfill.

Park/Sports Complex, Fresno, California, July 2000 to June 2003, $24M. M anaged
construction of a 135-acre landfill cap, subdrain system, landfill gas f lare complex, and
g roundwater t reatment facility and control building, and installation of 105 landfill gas wells
and over 6 miles of landfill gas, condensate, and air pipes. Also oversaw construction of six
softball fields (four lighted); nine soccer fields; two concession/restroom buildings; 1-1/2 miles
of paved road; nine parking lots; underground electric, domestic water, sewer, and storm drain
p iping; and a sewer lift station, 3-acre lined lake, i r r igation pump station, i r r igation system for
t he landfill and park, and 35 acres of tu rf. Directed creation of a California native grass
environment on top of the landfill. Directed nine subcontractors, and coordinated the work of
t he City’s three engineering companies to construct a completely integrated and working
facility.
CQA – Western Regional Landfill Module X, Lincoln, California, March 2000 to May 2000,
$100K. P rovided CQA services for the $100,000 construction of a new 10-acre landfill module,
i ncluding excavation and installation of a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) and a high-density
polyethylene (HDPE) liner. Provided construction observation and inspection services and
p repared daily and weekly summary reports to document site activities for the client.
Project Manager – Placer County, Western Regional Sanitary Landfill Closure, California,
J une 1998 to October 1998, $45K. D irected construction and CQA services for the closure of a
10-acre portion of a landfill. Oversaw construction testing and observation. Reviewed the
staff’s daily activity reports and prepared weekly project summaries for the client. Prepared
t he project’s construction quality control report. Site closure was accepted by the RWQCB.
Project Manager – Placer County, Eastern Regional Landfill Closure, Truckee, California,
M arch 1996 to December 1998, $250K. M anaged the design and acted as the owner's
representative for the construction of a 40-acre landfill closure. The scope included placement
of the soil cover and landfill gas collection pipes and f lare. Managed the field staff and
construction testing and observation. Reviewed the staff’s daily activity reports and prepared

report. Site closure was accepted by the RWQCB.
CQA Manager/Resident Engineer – Tulare County, Woodville Landfill Expansion, Woodville,
California, June 1996 to November 1996, $100K. Oversaw construction management and

acre Loomis Landfill. The closure included importing and placing low-permeability and
vegetative soils and installing 16 landfill gas wells, a condensate collection and pumping
system, and a landfill gas f lare. Managed the field inspection staff, and reviewed daily project
reports and field and laboratory test data. Performed the constructability review.
CQA Manager – BFI Waste Systems, Ox Mountain Project, Half Moon Bay, California, August
1992 to November 1994. P rovided CQA services for the construction of a new landfill,
i ncluding a 1-million-cubic-yard toe berm, roads, drainage, ditches, a groundwater collection
system, and a 4-acre detention basin. Work also included screening and placement of 35 acres
of clay liner and geosynthetic liner. Managed the field staff and construction testing and
observation. Reviewed the staff’s daily activity reports, and prepared weekly summaries for

Project Manager – Landfill Construction, EMCON, Sacramento, California, 1990 to 1992.
Responsible for providing project/construction management services to clients for the
construction of landfills, landfill closures, landfill gas collection and f lare systems, recycling
