WORK EXPERIENCE

. Presently working as Production Engineer in JINDAL SAW LTD (Integrated

Pipe Unit) at SAMAGHOGHA, Mundra since 29th December, 2010.

COMPANY PROFILE

. It is a part of the OP JINDAL GROUP, with a market turnover of rupees

7500 Cr.

Currently it is into manufacturing of pig iron, DI PIPES, HSAW PIPES,

LSAW PIPES and HOT INDUCTION BENDS.

. In the DI PIPE division, I am working as "Executive" of pipe Casting

Section.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. I am responsible for Ductile Iron & Alloy Grey Iron melting.

. Complete supervision of the fuel fired annealing furnace. LDO and CO2

being the primary fuels.

. Controlling the inlet of DI pipes into the annealing furnace to

enhance its thermo-mechanical properties.

. Handling and maintain the furnace temperature during normal and

abnormal conditions.

. Good knowledge about annealing furnace and its maintenance.

. CCM (Centrifugal casting machine) production, rejection and rejection

control.

. Process control in Hot Zone (Melting, Casting & Heat-treatment of

products) through time study, raw material consumption,

micro analysis & mechanical

tests.

. Control of parameters of Heat-treatment Furnace.

Achievements:

. Increased the production from 85-95 tons to 100-115 tons per

shift with low LDO consumption (about 1800 lit per shift)

immediately after joining the organization.

. Achieved highest production of 310 Ton /day with 15 Ton /hour

record.

. Also achieved Zero percent loss of LDO.

. Reduced overall rejection from 12% to below 8%.

. Holding seminars & training sessions for the related technical

personnel; continuously motivating the production related

manpower to generate maximum output.

MY ROLE IN THE ORGANISATION:

OPERATIONAL

. Working as EXECUTIVE (Production ) and involved in the operation and

maintenance of 36mtr annealing furnace fired with HSD Oil and BF gas.

. Controlling the flow of the HSD oil and BF gas and controlling the

furnace temperature.

. Communication and coordinate with related departments i.e; Electrical,

Mechanical, Utility and Instrumentation.

. Communication with chemical lab to know the chemical properties before

and after annealing process.

. Monthly production & consumption report preparation, Material

indenting through SAP.

. Man power handling throughout the workplace.

. Maintain ISO 9001-2008, OSHAS 18000-2004, IMS documentation.

MAINTENANCE

. Annual shut down of furnace and its auxiliaries for overhauling and

inspection

. Prepare the list of shutdown activities, identify equipment for

preventive maintenance and supervision of shut down maintenance job.

. Attending the HSD and BF burners and blowers repairs.

. Testing of hydraulic circuits, hydraulic valves, pressure control

valves, check valves, direction control valves and relief valves.

. Trouble shooting and maintenance of all HSD oil burners, cooling

towers, recupulaters, HSD and BFG lines.

. Participate and implementation of other activities like daily

reports, safety related documents and 5S, housekeeping etc.

. Maintain ISO 9001-2008, OHSAS 18000-2004, IMS documentation.
