I was working with A-one+ (Halcrow) Area 10 since Feb 2008 up to end of Feb
2013 (about 5 years) as a Program Delivery Team (PDT) & Local Net Work
Scheme (LNMS) Engineer my duties include: -
. A leading role in detailed design (using AutoCAD) in accordance with
Highways Agency standards including the DMRB, IANs & MCHW,
. Identifying needs and providing cost effective technical solutions to
maintain and improve the highway asset to the standards agreed by the
Network Board, considering the needs of key stakeholders, to the
budget and programme agreed with the Programme Team,
. Following (IBMS) to make sure that the designs are in accordance with
the relevant procedures,
. Managing risk assessment within CDM regulations,
. Prepare scheme summary, PAR, TRO / TTRO (if required), to support
scheme development,
. Working in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere to guide and advise
new staff through responsive and supportive communications.

I was working with Highways Agency for Area 10 on contract basis to
improve road safety by insuring that travellers informed accurately in-
order to reschedule their journeys, and also coordinate between customs
(road users) and contractors to schedule and improve maintenance
programme.

I was working with (NHDC) on Parking Control Scheme on contract basis.
Parking Control Scheme is to propose a suitable measure of parking
control to improve road capacity and safety, and also control the use of
on-street parking space in order to provide space for residents, local
bossiness, disable and visitors.

I have worked with Leicester City Council on scheme of Cycle Lane &
Wayfinding in the City Centre, Started on 05 / 10 / 2006 - 30 / 03 /2007
(on contract basis).
Wayfinding strategy aims are to; Improve residents & visitors ability to
navigate the city centre, Improve orientation by reinforcing the identity
of the city centre by emphasising its distinctive character areas and
Provide for an excellent wayfinding system for those who do not know the
place.

I have worked with Capita Symonds at Barrow-in-Furness (Contract basis)
as Traffic Engineer on junction improvements scheme and to propose new
layout for the scheme.

I was working on a contract basis with City of Sunderland (Council) to
investigate Road / Rail Bridges incursion risks and Road parallel
(neighbouring) to the railway line and to determine road safety.
Reports to highlight the risks and proposed remedial measures required to
improve road safety were approved.
Also responsible for safety improvement in residential area (i.e.
implementation of traffic calming measures) with vicinity of school and /
or playground.
Issuing Traffic Regulation Order (TRO - Permannent / Temporary
[Experimental & Emergency]) in residential and industrial areas.
Assess and evaluate the transport / highways aspects of planning
applications.
Junction improvement, Propose appropriate and suitable measures required to
improve junction,
Investigation of the cycle routes & pedestrians controlled crossing (red
tactile blister paving surface) and to implement the new legislation and
ensuring that work carried out with accordance to the Guidance,
Inspection of buses network in Washington area and issuing report with
proposal measures to improve pedestrian safe routes.
I was responsible for various schemes of traffic management and road

I was working on contract basis with Cheshire County Council to
inspect Road / Rail Bridges incursion risks all over the county. The
inspection was carried out against specific requirements and a score
points were set for each requirement in-order to determine whether the
bridge is safe or not, so a measures can be implemented for improvement
where ever is necessary.

Personal Contribution
Since obtaining my H.N.D in Civil Engineering, I have followed up my
academic achievement by maintaining an active interest in Transportation
issues and by taking MSc. Course in study Transport Engineering & Planning
(and awarded Postgraduate Diploma - July 2003).
During my first year of the Course in Transport & Planning Engineering, I
have gained good understanding regarding a wide range of Traffic
management, Accident Investigation, Pedestrian measures including minor
scheme design Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), Traffic Calming, design Bus
Priority and Cycle lane.
I can demonstrate a sound understanding of highway Safety Techniques, I
have gained experience of the department of transport Junction assessment
computer simulation programmes such as: - ARCADY, OSCADY, PICADY & COBA.
I have gained experience of using G Maxi & G Maps and in the compilation
and analysis of accident & prepared report in connection with (TRO).
I have gained various experiences since working with City of
Sunderland Council on the following schemes: -

. The production of accident statistics for outside bodies.
. Dealing with Local Members, of the public, other departments and
outside bodies in relation to all road safety-engineering
enquiries.
I have good knowledge regarding Netting - Off and it's procedure: -
. Collect and analysis the accident data and plot all KSI on Borough
network.
. Identify the critical route of the network.
. Prepare appropriate and suitable measures.
I consider that my varied background sound knowledge and extensive work
experience in a responsible position has enabled me to acquire the relevant
technical, creative analytical and negotiating skills necessary to carry
