FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY

Was working at Winston Industries since June 6, 2011 as a CNC Accurpress

brake operator. But company had a slowdown and I’d been laid off since the the

last week of February and was told it could be up to six weeks or less. But

received a letter from the company saying that I wouldn’t be brought back. They

gave no reason, but my understanding Is a new machine they’re bringing in will

cost more employees their jobs because it does the work of the punching

machines and brakes, and welding. So I’m currently looking for a good company

with benefits to work for.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Forklift driver, van driver, run many types of machinery for metal and wood.

Operated CNC controlled PK 300 Trumpf machinery for 13 years. Could learn

to do the same for lathes and mills. Ran toolcrib in charge of ordering and

distributing supplies working with customers and suppliers also. Was in charge

of doing inventory in the crib. Have worked as a material handler pulling parts

and putting up. Have experience using pneumatic tooling, saws, drill presses,

sanders, various tooling, etc. At previous employers before the past 26 years I

operated press brakes and worked in showroom for foreign buyers. Also was

lead man at Packaging Service in charge of training new operators and

scrappers and make sure shipments were accurate and properly shipped to

corresponding purchaser. Pulled parts and loaded onto skids and wrapped. To

check and inspect new templates and dimensions of parts. In charge of

inventory. Worked very well with co workers. Done shipping and receiving.

Wouldn’t be difficult to learn programs using computer. I have excel, word and

other computer knowledge. Have used excel, word, publisher for my own

personal use. Can learn very quickly any programs. Recent skills picked up was

assembling tanks for coffee machines and wiring the circuit boards and motors.

Have done a lot of quality control both at Huncilman’s and at MISA Metals. I’m

also have a commercial B license and employed as a substitute bus driver for

New Albany Transportation. Also good skills with computer. Outlook, excel,

word, publisher.

March 2011 till June 4 and was employed by Winston Industries as brake press

operator since June 6, 2011 until the layoff. Was Inform March 28, 2013 that I

and others were not being brought back.
