SLiC Details Salt Lake City, UT
Automotive Detailer / Business Owner June 1999 to October 2008
At age 17 I started my own car detailing business around my neighborhood. To obtain customers I would post ads on internet classified sites, place flyers around local business establishments, and I had a web site designed to promote my business. I started out averaging around 10 vehicles per week and within a month I acquired more than half my business through repeat customers and referrals. I thrived on competing with other detailers in the area. I enjoyed interacting with customers, problem solving, and thinking of new business strategies. I handled money transactions, customer service, product ordering and stocking, data entry, and scheduling detail appointments via e-mail and telephone.
