INTERN
Working within the research & development division of FMC’s Agricultural Products Group, gained experience in a
breadth of laboratory techniques and advanced equipment & instrumentation. Personally led a project investigating
interfacial polycondensation microencapsulation of herbicidal active ingredients, beginning with objective
development, preliminary research, and experimental design, and culminating with execution of the experiment and
analysis of results. Primary focus was optimization of the basic formula and of the lab preparation process and
investigation of the process’ scale-up correlations and feasibility. Presented results in full technical report.

DIRECTOR (Summers 2010-2011) Managed all aspects of the program, including structure, hiring and training, safety,
registration, day-to-day operations, and payroll. Commanded a staff of 15 employees. Created a MATLAB program to
analyze a number of sailing race metrics & results and output various ranking statistics.
SENIOR INSTRUCTOR (Summers 2007-2009) Responsible for the instruction of children in the daily program as well as
private lessons for adults (both experienced sailors and novices).
