Petropiar S.A. Cargo Supervisor/Shipper Representative
PetroPiar is a Petroleum Company PDVSA-Chevron joint venture in charge of extraction of heavy crude oil API grav ity of 8-10 from
Orinoco belt in Venezuela to Jose Cryogenic Complex at Barcelona PetroPiar UpGrader via pipeline and to produce a lighter cru de oil
API gravity of 20-26 to finally be exported through the Jose Offshore Platform of TAEJAA Marine Terminal (T hree berths/four marine
loading arms each) or SPM facility to the open FOB Market. Also PetroPiar produce Petroleum Coke and Solid Sulphur to the
international market exported through Petrozuata Solid Marine Terminal in Jose. At the moment more than 400 Af ramaxes - VLCC
tankers and 150 bulk carriers have been loaded between 65.000 and 330.000 met tons Dwt.
Job Responsibilities: To assist in coordinating operations, specifically related to Marine and cargo custody Transfers ( Tanker operations,
Loading Master). To efficiently coordinate tankers loading and berthing operations with agents, pilots and terminal in order to minimize
demurrages (Managing demurrage). To monitor and overseeing vessel acceptance process, checking of vessel certification and Safety
condition, vetting and Port State Control inspections review through the Vessel Acceptance Corporative System (SCATT), MOU, USC G
and SIRE data base. ISGOTT & OCIMF Guidelines. Personally attention of each vessel which loads crude oil. Tanker on board attention
from Pilot boarding time until Pilot away. Monitor vessels performance, safety loading condition, supervision of loading sequence
according to vessel stowage plans, deballasting & cargo segregation. To prepare the final cargo loading report and highligh ting any
potential claim. In charge of overseen the fully marine cargo custody form the cargo certification until issuance of cargo documents,
cargo calculations (tank farm and vessel) according with API guidelines, ASTM lab methods. (Loss Control & Petrol eum Measurement).
The Cargo Supervisor also has overseen loading Pet Coke and Sulphur at the Petrozuata Solid Marine Terminal on board Bulk car riers.
To oversee the cargo independent surveyor operations on board vessel and at pile/tank farm to ensure comp liance with the contractual
compliance of quality and quantity of the crude oil or by product being delivered. Calculation of cargo quantity through draf t survey
inspections, cargo hold conditions and bunker surveys if necessary.
As a Shipper Representative understanding of contractual obligations, interaction with customers, coordination contract administrator,
traders, and planning representatives in order to minimize commercial impact to the fleet market in the Caribbean Sea trading making a
good balance to of supply opportune deliveries to customers. To overseen scheduling of crude oil, petcoke, and sulphur production with
schedulers and coordinating with operations personnel on all onshore activities necessary to insure smooth delivery of all pr oducts to the
ships taking the products from the terminals. To bring assistance to the Senior Analyst and Solid management in the analysis of
demurrage / dispatch claims, make recommendations to management and coordinate settlement with customers, issuance of Let ter of
Protest, if necessary, in order to protect the Principal interests. Overseeing the cargoes documentation and delivering vesse ls
documents including Bill of Lading, Cargo Manifest, Certificate of Origin, Timesheet, Letter of Protest, Quality and Quan tity certificates to
respect with Recaps, Sales Contracts and Tenders. Implementation of the PetroPiar Pre -Arrival Information in the Q88 System. The
Cargo Supervisor is the “ears and eyes” of PetroPiar.
