Coordinated collection activities for all branches in U.S.
and held weekly conference calls to discuss accounts
receivable. Prepared reports updating collection
activities and reviewed them with Controller and CFO.
Collection Manager: May 2001-August 2012: Mobile Mini
Incorporated 7420 S Kyrene Rd Suite 101 Tempe AZ 85283.
Managed group of up to 12 people for the largest steel
storage container company in the world. Duties included
interviewing/hiring, training, coaching, and performance
management of staff. Responsible for meeting or exceeding
delinquency and call goals. Reviewed accounts for possible
repossession or collection approval. Group supervised
included collectors, clerks and bad debt recovery
specialists. Took escalated complaint calls regarding
repossessions, credit denials, credit releases, branch
errors and collector behavior. During my management time,
group achieved historic monthly lows in 90 day delinquency
rate and annual bad debt write-off.
Dispute Resolution Specialist: November 1996-April 2001:
USA Group-Chandler Arizona (merged with Sallie Mae in 2001
and closed Arizona office). Duties included reviewing
written student loan consumer disputes, determining
validity of disputes and responding to customer in
writing . Also collected on federally guaranteed student
loans, private student loans and helped train new
collectors. Selected to participate at national level
corporate leadership conference.
Student Loan Representative: August 1985-June 1995: Loan
Representative with Student Loan Finance Corp-Aberdeen SD.
Responsibilities included collections, research, budget
counseling, skip tracing, phone and face to face contact
for over 6,000 accounts. Total volume of accounts
responsible for exceeded 22 million dollars.
