Informatica2Data Stage conversion project has dead line to deliver on time
basis in term of bundles
All Informatica work flows and mapping needs to be converted to Data Stage
jobs and sequence jobs
We have altogether 34 to 40 work flows and 70 to 85 jobs to convert from
Informatica to Data Stage
Some are from Database to Data base and some are from Database to file,
file to Database, Data base to xml files..etc. few jobs has Unix scripts to
run to handle different file formats. All converted jobs are scheduled by
Autosys tool with different calendar events to support the TIAA business
used different approaches are used to reduce the run time of the jobs

. Attending status meetings with clients
Project Name - TIAA -CREF - SEC17a3 (Security Exchange
Scheme)
Duration - September 2011 - May 2012
Environment - Unix, Info Sphere Info Sphere Data Stage,
Autosys
Role - ETL / Autosys Developer
This project is aimed to fulfill the regulatory retention rules for storing
customer complaints and communications in a WORM storage. After
implementing this system, users will be able to search and verify customer
complaints and communications in Mobius
In 4Q 2010, in response to an upcoming FINRA audit, a consultant retained
to evaluate TIAA's compliance with SEC17a3-4 data retention requirements
produced a spreadsheet indicating that data in some applications, including
those containing customer complains and communications was not being stored
according to regulatory retention rules. Additionally, it was found that
TIAA must be compliant with SEC17a4, requiring third party access to
electronic storage media containing data subject to SEC17a3-4 rules. This
project is an attempt to address this concern by providing data in a
repository, satisfying retention rules and third party access requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Responsible for Extracting, Transforming and Loading Data from Flat
files and oracle files and placing it into Data warehouse.
. Working on Data stage Designer tools- for Creating Jobs, Shared
Containers and Job Sequencer and Compile the Job.
. Studying the Existing Source Databases. Involved in interacting with
decision makers or analyzing their business plans.
. Analyzed the Sources, Targets, Transformed the Data, Mapped the Data,
and Loading the Data into the Targets using Data stage.
. Designed Data Stage ETL jobs for extracting data from heterogeneous
source systems, transform and finally load into the Data Warehouses.
. Involved in ETL Processes to load data from Flat file, Oracle, RDBMS
into target Oracle, RDBMS databases by applying business logic on
transformation mapping for inserting and updating records when loaded.
Project Name - Novo Nordisk - PDR ETL and VB .Net Support
Duration - January 2010 - September 2011
Environment - Unix, Siperian MDM, DataStage, Oracle 10g
Role - ETL Developer
Currently, Managed Care Sales Operations manually updates the Novo Managed
Care (NMC) custom hierarchies to maintain synchronicity with the Managed
Care Workbook during each POA. The custom hierarchies (in the form of a
file) are then processed through MDM and loaded into Phoenix Data Warehouse
where they are used for analytics.
To avoid the manual intervention and to be able to have access to up-to-
date analytics, the NMC file is required to be in synch on a monthly basis
with the Managed Care (MC) Workbook. To accomplish this, MDM will
implement a set of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) mappings and custom
procedures that resolve any discrepancies pertaining to plan ADDs, CHANGEs,
and DELETEs by updating the NMC file data with the new plans for each
monthly load.
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Develop Data Stage jobs using existing framework.
. Develop UNIX shell scripts that would run the above mentioned
DataStage jobs.
. Develop and schedule the Autosys jobs to call the UNIX scripts to run
in the desired manner.
. Actively participate in thorough unit testing and coordinate with the
testing team for System Integration Testing.
. Implementation planning and successful deployment of the developed
code in production environment.
. Weekly and monthly status reports to the client.
. Mentor the less experience team members

rules. Neither real time or near real time data is available in ReDS.
ReDS is not intended to be used for Operational Reporting or any
Operational Processes. ReDS is normally available for reporting from
approximately 8:00 am until 11:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. ReDS consists
