Provide care for patients in a respectful, non-judgmental
manner. Maintain the patient's right to privacy. Recognize
changes in patient's response to nursing care. Accurately
document and retrieve patient information utilizing the
latest software. Perform all aspects of patient education
as directed. Adhere to standards of practice and safe
technique in administration of medications.
Responsible for obtaining patient's blood pressure, pulse,
O2 saturation, temperature and pain level. Administer
vaccinations to include flu shot, Tdap, Td, Herpes Zoster
(shingles), pneumonia, B-12, testosterone shots.
Obtain bladder scans, EKG's, Glucometer testing. Wound care
to include dressing changes. Place, read and document
intra-dermal skin testing (PPD. Assist/maintain lab when
needed including blood draws. Document all specimens,
including packing of lab specimens for shipment.
Work with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers to
promote positive interactions. Demonstrates professional
behaviors. Appropriately maintain employee/patient
confidentiality.
