Responsibilities:

• Managing and preparing the Compliance team on International certification of boards.

• Complete Board level and product level Testing and global compliance certification of all the boards as per the product requirements.

• Need to work with certification agencies across the globe in qualifying the boards as per the regulatory norms.

• Define, plan and Execute product EMC, product safety and reliability for the boards.

• Plan, Prepare and Execute complete DVT process from the initial stages of design.

• Schematic Review’s with respect to compliance on the designs to ensure that the board meet the product requirements.

Project Experience:

Project: NIC Boards

Description: It The NICxE Gigabit Ethernet network interface cards (NICs) targets Secure Network Services and Compression acceleration in security, storage and networking appliances from 1Gbps to upto 10Gbps performance.

Prepare and work for the International certification of all NIC Boards.

Prepared and execute safety test and environmental tests.

Working remotely with client location on product qualification.

Project: IPTV/ Set top Box System

Description: It consists of conceptualizing design, test and implementation of the system. Sigma Designs SMP8650 series secure media processor is used.

Prepared and executed complete Board level and product level Regulatory and Compliance plan for the IPTV

Worked in Board bring-up and DVT (Design Validation and Test) of the board.

Project: Portable systems 1: Intel Atom (SOC) E6xx series Mother board with Top Cliff (IOH)

Description: We designed small form factor system with interfaces like USB, GbEthernet, SDVO, etc. It is designed to run with Fedora 11, MeeGo, WinXp and WinXpe.

Prepared and executed Board bring-up and DVT process.

Tested and validated manufacturing test scripts to test the interfaces of the board.

Prepared and executed safety and EMC test with respect to product regulatory standard and effectively resolved EMC issues.

Project: Portable systems 2: Intel Atom Zxx series Mother board with Poulsbo (SCH)

Description: We designed small form factor system with interfaces like USB, Ethernet, SDVO, etc. The system is designed with constraints such as low power consumptions with options of low and high bandwidth interfaces.

Prepared EMC test plan and executed the test.

Tested and validated manufacturing test scripts to test the interfaces of the board.

Prepared factory test method and procedure to test the product.

Duration : November 2008 – November 2010

Responsibilities:

• Worked as a Compliance Test Engineer in TARANG (Wipro’s Compliance and Pre-Compliance testing lab) from November 2008 – 2010.

• Responsibilities include R&D on new Standards like DO160, ISO7637-2.

• System modeling using CST.

• Preparing test plans, test case development, test report generation and support activities.

• Appreciated by the customers for the debugging and the problem analysis skills.

• Played Key role in developing new test cases and cost effective test methods.

• Awarded for giving good debug solutions for technical support.

• Awarded for giving good support activities for one customer project in Wipro.

• Extensive knowledge of IEC 61000-3-2, 3-3, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 4-6, 4-8, 4-9, 4-11, CISPR 11, CISPR 22, CISPR 25, DO-160, MIL-461, GB, EN Standards and various Product standards for compliance testing.

• Capable of analyzing issues related to various compliance tests and suggesting effective debug solutions for the same.

• Board Design using Orcad.

Representative WORK experience:

• Performed compliance tests and test setups related to CE and FCC certifications.

• R&D work on generating waveforms as per DO-160 and ISO- 7637-2 Standards used for voltage spike testing.

• Hand’s on experience with ESD Gun, EFT/B Generators, CRO, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Signal Receiver etc.

• Performed DC-voltage variant tests using CHROMA power source and Inrush current measurement tests.

• Designed waveforms as per customer requirements for testing the voltage variation withstanding capabilities of products using INTUI Link soft panel.

• Prepared Test plan as per customer requirements generated and reviewed EMC test reports.

• Explored the possibilities of using CST tool in EMI/EMC testing and designed and simulated the antenna characteristics for one external customer.

• Implemented cost effective methods for performing various tests like V-dips, V-interrupts, Power Frequency magnetic field.

Project Experience:

Project: Micro strip antenna design using CST and evaluate the response.

Project Duration: 1 Month

Description: To design a micro strip antenna to resonate at 2.45GHz and to see the response. The outcome was satisfactory for the end customer.
