Your Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety area within the Schaeffler VLS Poland: Central Logistic Centre, located in Sieroniowice (Ujazd district) and Office & Warehouse, located in Warsaw.

Implementing and aligning EHS systems, guidelines, and tools together with external service providers.

Steering cooperation with external advisers and maintaining relationships with regulatory and government agencies.

Monitoring existing and potential EHS concerns, recommending priorities for resolution, and developing remedial measures.

Planning, organizing, and conducting EHS audits including analysis and documentation of audit findings, carrying out inspections of working conditions and compliance with occupational health and safety rules, and informing the employer about any workplace threats.

Coordinating occupational health and safety training sessions, contributing to risk assessment processes, and providing guidance on the implementation of health and safety regulations.

Participating in the development of internal company orders, regulations, and detailed instructions related to workplace safety and modernization efforts.

Keeping registers and documentation regarding workplace accidents, participating in determining the circumstances and causes of accidents.

Protection of company and customer intellectual properties.

Safeguarding of the company’s innovation, production, and delivery capability.

Personal integrity of staff, contractor employees, and visitors.

Intactness of site and operating equipment.

Safeguarding of the company’s reputation and trustworthiness among customers, employees, and suppliers.

Prevention or elimination of disturbances, dangers, or damage to which the company may be exposed.

Your Qualifications

University degree in engineering, environmental science, safety management, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in the EHS area, particularly in program development and implementation, alongside professional experience in the security field, preferably within a corporate environment.

Extensive expertise in corporate security and EHS topics, with a strong emphasis on risk prevention, safeguarding company assets, and familiarity with legal regulations and corporate security and safety standards.

Proven leadership experience includes supervising security personnel, managing projects, and, as an advantage, working with greenfield developments

Advanced analytical skills

Expertise in security topics, with an interest in quickly familiarizing yourself with additional security-related areas.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English and Polish (minimum B2 level proficiency), combined with assertiveness and strong ability to prioritize.

Demonstrated flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure, and a strong sense of responsibility.
