Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production or Industrial Engineering
Minimum 7-10 years of Industrial Experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Tooling background preferably in Auto or Railway industry
Experience in Reading/Preparing Engineering Drawing with GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance)
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
Analytical and decision-making skills
Strong Process orientation and strategic planning capabilities
Ability to influence, lead change, and work collaboratively as a team player
Proficiency in English and familiarity with IT tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Jigs and Fixture Design/Manufacturing
Productivity improvement, Project management and Cost saving techniques

You'll play a pivotal role in designing and proposing best in call Tooling for manufacturing processes
ensuring a smooth flow of activities to help manufacturing meet daily objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Manufacturing, Industrialisation,
Quality, Sourcing, and Supply Chain), manage equipment requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, among other responsibilities. You’ll specifically take care of deploying industrial
strategies to optimize tooling costs and piloting industrialization low cost optimization projects in close collaboration with Central tooling and PME Electrical team.
Reporting: Jigs and Tools Engineer > Manufacturing Engineering Manager > PME Manager > Site PME Head
We’ll look to you for:
Tender Stage Support
Identify tooling requirements and provide cost estimations during project bidding.
Project Execution & Readiness
Ensure timely availability of tools and equipment for new projects (EMFU readiness).
Track equipment maturity and readiness milestones.
Budget & Cost Management
Manage tooling and equipment expenses within budget for both new projects and OPEX.
Drive cost savings through localization, tool life optimization, and other initiatives.
Inventory & Tool Crib Strategy
Develop and implement inventory strategies to minimize holding costs and avoid production delays.
Design & Development
Design modular workstations, jigs, fixtures, and tools for multi-model production.
Implement low-cost automation to improve productivity and quality.
Procurement & Supplier Engagement
Prepare RFI/RFQ documents with cross-functional inputs.
Analyze supplier quotations and support business award decisions.
Raise purchase requests and coordinate with procurement teams.
Design Validation & Documentation
Conduct design reviews and approvals.
Prepare and execute SAT & FAT validation reports.
Create SOPs and conduct training for manufacturing teams.
Standardization & Collaboration
Participate in Alstom’s central tooling network.
Promote tooling standardization across sites.
Deploying APSYS (Alstom Production System) to achieve level 3 maturity
EHS & Ergonomics
Perform safety and ergonomics analysis for tools and workstations.
Define and implement improvement actions.
Error-Proofing (Poka Yoke)
Implement error-proofing solutions for critical processes using low-cost automation.
