About the Role

We’re seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership — shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform

(including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations)

● Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with

business and product goals

● Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components

● Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate

effort

● Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance

guidelines

● Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members

● Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure

alignment and quality

● Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud

infrastructure

● Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial

builds or high-impact phases

Requirements

● 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect

role

● Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems

(preferably cloud-native, microservices)

● Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven

architectures

● Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript

(additionally Python is a plus).

● Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

● Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical and business needs

Nice to Have

● Experience with AI/ML systems, voice tech, or real-time streaming architectures

● Familiarity with WebSockets, ASR, or NLU/NLP pipelines

● Prior startup or scale-up environment experience
