Lecturer

The End-User and Computing Unit, Faculty of ICT invites applications for 30 Part–Time Lecturer positions at all the TUT campuses.

INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit, together with the CVs, a fully completed standardized application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document.

Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate.

Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection instruments.

Key performance areas/Core functions: • Teaching End User Computing subjects (Level 5 and Level 6) • Subject Head duties / Subject Coordinator duties • Academic Administration e.g., capturing of marks on ITS; sorting of student profiles etc.

• Invigilation of tests.

Minimum requirements: Academic qualifications: • Masters in an IT specialization area.

Experience: • 3 years lecturing experience at a Tertiary Institution and/or 3 years industry experience not as a student assistant or mentor.

Arcadia & Arts campuses X3 • Competency in teaching Microsoft Office.

Mbombela campus X3 • Competency in Pastel and Pastel Advanced, Evolution, Business Intelligence, Payroll & Municipal Billing.

Soshanguve X10 • Experience in mentoring Access, Outlook & Computing Fundamentals theory will be an added advantage.

Ga-Rankuwa X4 • Competency in Pastel and Pastel Advanced, Evolution, Busine Payroll & Municipal Billing.

Pretoria X10 • Competency and experience in teaching Scratch Programming advantage.
