Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or beyond

Valid Florida Occupational Therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure.

Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy settings is preferred.

Strong knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor development, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies for school-based therapy.

Familiarity with IEP processes, educational laws, and documentation requirements for school settings.

Key Responsibilities

Individualized Intervention Plans: Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies based on student needs and educational requirements.

Direct Therapy Services: Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to enhance student success.

IEP Participation: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering recommendations and documentation to support students' educational goals.

Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and self-care skills related to their educational performance.

Staff and Family Education: Educate school staff and families on strategies to improve student participation and independence in the classroom.
