Join a compassionate healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Spiritual Care Chaplain providing essential spiritual and bereavement support to patients, families, and staff. This role involves conducting grief support groups, offering one-on-one counseling, and assessing spiritual needs collaboratively with families and care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate grief support groups and individual counseling sessions.
Provide spiritual and religious resources such as devotional materials and sacramental rites.
Develop and maintain relationships with local clergy and arrange denominational support as needed.
Support communication with patients' pastoral affiliations with permission.
Document all interactions accurately and timely in accordance with organizational policies.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Letter of endorsement and good standing with a recognized religious denomination.
Minimum of one year experience as a minister or chaplain.
Preferred: Master of Divinity or equivalent and completion of 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Licenses and Certifications:
State driver's license and auto insurance if driving is required. Skills and Abilities:
