Master Howick Operator

Location: Florence, Colorado

Employment Type: Full-Time (4 days, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week)

Reports To: Howick Operator Team Lead

Hourly Range: $34 - $42 per hour

Job Summary:

The Howick Operator - Senior Level (Master) is an expert operator responsible for overseeing the operation of Howick steel framing machines for complex steel frame designs and building supplies. This role involves training and mentoring junior operators, driving process improvements, and maintaining the highest quality standards. The Master Operator operates with limited supervision and plays a key leadership role in the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and operate Howick steel framing machines for complex steel frame designs and building supplies.

Optimize machine operation processes to ensure production efficiency and minimize material waste.

Troubleshoot and resolve advanced operational issues to maintain seamless production.

Train and mentor Entry- and Mid-Level Howick Operators, guiding technical skills and best practices.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and verify that produced components meet design specifications.

Collaborate with production managers and engineering teams to align operations with project goals.

Lead process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance production outcomes.

Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety protocols. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical technology, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in operating CNC machines, with at least 2 years in steel framing or modular construction.

Technical Skills:

Expert proficiency in operating Howick steel framing machines or similar equipment.

Advanced ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.

Proven expertise in process optimization and advanced troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications: OSHA-approved forklift certification is a plus. Work Environment:

On-site at Mytikas Steel's production facility in Florence, Colorado.
