We are currently hiring for a full-time contract TVI-Braillist position in a highly sought-after school district known for its inclusive practices, strong support for special education services, and collaborative environment. Provide direct instruction in Braille reading and writing to students with visual impairments
Adapt classroom materials into accessible formats using Braille and assistive technology
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support access to the general curriculum
Conduct assessments and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
Promote student independence in academic, daily living, and mobility skills as appropriate What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on Visual Impairment or equivalent certification
Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Proficiency in Braille instruction and the use of assistive technology for visually impaired learners
Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required
