Summary
The Production Supervisor manages the manufacturing department, planning and directing daily production activities to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This role supervises a team of full-time employees per shift, exercises independent judgment in operational decisions, and has significant input in hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions. ensuring that automotive Class A soft trim parts are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential during plant startup and throughout ongoing production, requiring a dependable leader who is dedicated to supporting the team’s success and maintains a consistently positive attitude.
What You’ll Do
Supervise and direct work machine operators and production staff, ensuring readiness for plant startup and smooth transition to full production.
Ensure strict adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Evaluates performance of assigned team members and provides input to Senior Leadership. Actively participates and provides input in hiring, recognition, performance management, and separations.
Monitor machinery performance and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime.
Enforce safety procedures and promote continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of reliability and positivity.
Maintain accurate shift reports and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Assist in training employees in machine operation, setup, and safety, emphasizing dependability and positive work habits.
Leads by example, modelling company values and adherence to company policies, demonstrating commitment and a positive attitude in all interactions.
Miscellaneous duties as needed in support of operations What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
3+ years’ of supervisory experience in automotive soft trim, press lamination, edge-folding, plastic injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment. What We Value
