Position Summary
La Salle University's Philosophy program (within the Humanity & Society Department) has need for a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach a section of HON 131: Early Philosophical Traditions within our university's Honors Program. Students in the course are simultaneously enrolled in HON 111: Early Literary Traditions and HON 121: Early Human History. Teaching HON 131 in the fall semester may lead to an opportunity to teach HON 132: Modern & Contemporary Philosophical Traditions in the spring semester.

Essential Duties
• Teach assigned course(s).
• Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
• Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
• Provide guidance and support to students.
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Philosophy, with broad knowledge of general history of philosophy, from ancient to modern
• Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.
• Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
