Description
To deliver high-quality education to students by effectively teaching assigned courses, maintaining academic standards, and fostering a supportive learning environment. This role involves engaging in curriculum development, advising students, and collaborating with faculty and administration to enhance educational outcomes and contribute to the overall mission of the College.

Job Duties
Teach assigned classes following approved syllabi and competencies.
Arrive on time or notify the division chairperson or provost if unable to meet a class.
Schedule and maintain office hours as required by College District policy.
Keep necessary materials available for substitute instructors.
Assist with student advisement, counseling, and registration.
Submit required grade reports to the registrar on schedule.
Maintain accurate attendance records for all classes.
Attend faculty meetings, commencements, and special meetings as called by administration.
Inform administration of matters affecting the welfare of students and faculty.
Serve on committees and participate in curriculum development, including departmental learning outcomes.
Recommend library and instructional materials purchases.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Teach at any TVCC campus or extension, including TDCJ and dual credit sites, using various instructional delivery methods (ITV, online, hybrid, face-to-face). Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Hold a master's degree in the teaching discipline;
OR: Hold a master's degree in any discipline, with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
College teaching experience preferred, preferably at a Community College
Experience teaching Distance learning courses preferred
