Job Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Industrial Technology and Environmental Program Manager, the OSHA Instructor will be responsible for conducting training sessions in occupational safety and health for various sectors, including private businesses and civil groups. This role involves designing and developing training programs, creating educational materials, and participating in outreach efforts to promote OSHA services throughout South Carolina. Maintain the safety of the students as a priority. Design, develop and implement approved revisions to course material as necessary to actively engage participants to maximize learning. Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills. Administer written and practical assessments to evaluate trainees' performance. Completion and submission of any required documentation upon conclusion as required by the OSHA Outreach Program.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Currently hold OSHA 501 and OSHA 511 Certifications for General Industry.
Candidates should be able to work independently, be self-directing, have good verbal and written skills.
Team Player - ability to build and sustain credibility.
