Job Description

Do you enjoy being involved in all aspects of surveying? C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering, environmental, and architectural firm in the Northeast, is looking for a motivated Assistant Project Surveyor to join our team in Syracuse, NY. You'd have the opportunity to support both field and office surveying operations.

What You'll Do:

Work hands-on in both the field and office to support a wide range of survey projects.

Solve real-world problems using trigonometry, geometry, and mapping skills.

Interpret deeds, easements, and maps to help bring projects to life.

Turn raw field data into clean, accurate survey documents.

Create topographic contours and perform detailed construction layout calculations.

Keep projects moving by organizing data, coordinating workloads, and meeting deadlines.

Act as a point of contact on select projects, helping ensure smooth client communication.

Research records from government agencies to prepare projects for Survey.

Contribute to legal descriptions and cost estimates that help guide work. Pay Range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For:

A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from college or technical school; or five plus (5+) years of related experience; and/or an equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience.

Strong math, drafting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience reading technical documents and maps.
