We're looking for a Merchant Services Specialist to support and enhance our cash management program-helping clients optimize how they move money, accept payments, and manage financial operations. In this role, you'll work closely with customers, lenders, and internal teams to support product implementations, provide technical expertise, and drive positive outcomes for our clients. LOCATION: Bangor, Maine (On-site) Candidates must reside within commuting distance.

Qualifications:

Customer and technical support experience

Cash Management/Financial Services experience

Technical writing, communication and presentation experience

College degree or technical school plus 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Degree in business, computer science, or related technical field.

Certifications such as Microsoft MCSM/MCSE (2008 or 2013), CompTIA Security+, CISM/CISSP, or Project Management credentials are a plus. Responsible for the support of the bank's Cash Management Products. Will be involved in customer meetings, marketing initiatives and product development and/or deployment of enhancements to ensure the success of our cash management program. Provides sales and technical support along with operational and service functions of our cash management program.

Duties:

Work closely with peers to identify solutions to support the needs of clients and prospects

When working with clients and prospects will develop a detailed understanding of: o The client's or prospect's financial and operational processes

o Key criteria for decision making

o Technology, and

o Competitive pressures.

Will respond to RFP's for cash management services and develop presentations about our product line as needed

Will be responsive to company's goals and driving to win new business

Will work to balance the acquisition of new business and provide excellent customer service with the need to minimize the bank's exposure to loss and fraud.

Ability to understand and adhere to policies, procedures, regulations and laws for the department and the organization to protect assets and reputation of the bank

Supports the day-to-day transactions and problem resolutions in compliance with banking regulations, policies and procedures, credit quality and credit policy procedures.

Sets-up, installs and trains commercial clients regarding cash management products and services.

Maintains cash management files in an orderly fashion and prepares all information for scanning.

Cross sells products and services

Develops user manuals and installation instruction reference guides for all electronic banking services.

Interfaces with core vendor for system enhancements, updates and parameter changes.

Assists with tracking and reporting of merchant card customers.

Performs annual customer cash management reviews.

Works closely with Commercial Lenders and Branch staff to attain deposit and product growth objectives.

Attends training sessions, user groups, and cash management related training sessions.

Prepares agreements/documents for customers as they pertain to products being used. Requirements

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to work around equipment in bank buildings, including occasional crawling and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.

Ability to work indoors with varying temperatures and occasional exposure to noise.
