What You Will Do
As a Tool Services team member, you will be responsible for completing tooling tasks, including the construction, maintenance, repair, and inspection of forge and machining tooling. You will utilize your expertise to ensure that tooling effectively support production schedules and meets quality standards.
Conduct thorough inspections of tooling and parts to ensure they meet engineering and process specifications.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tools and machinery, ensuring proper functionality and minimal downtime.
Ensure that tooling is maintained in line with production schedules, preventing delays.
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely completion of tool repairs and modifications to meet production schedules.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve tool reliability and minimize production interruptions.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize tooling performance, efficiency, and safety.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions to enhance tooling systems and procedures.
Follow all safety, environmental, and quality protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Maintain a strong focus on meeting 6S and shop cleanliness standards, including performing daily walk-arounds for preventive maintenance (PMs).
This shift is 6:30pm - 6:30am, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Work 36 hours, paid for 40. There is also a shift differential.
Qualifications You Must Have
HS Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year related experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
CAD/CAM experience or training
CNC Machining experience
Manual Machining experience
Blueprint reading proficiency.
Working with tight tolerance precision gage work.
Wire EDM Experience is a Plus
