Mechanical Engineer 5+ Years of Experience Onsite Waukesha, WI Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support a medical device development team at GE Healthcare, based in Waukesha, WI (100% onsite). This is a long-term contract opportunity.

START DATE:

ASAP (Flexible based on availability)

HOURS/SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, full-time business hours (100% onsite)

WORKER TYPE:

Contract - W2

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or aerospace

Experience with cable harnessing, mechanical design, and electromechanical systems

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Strong understanding of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with suppliers, manage product testing and verification activities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available to work onsite in Waukesha, WI

U.S. work authorization required

Must be comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment

Previous experience in medical device design & verification is strongly preferred WE CONSIDER IT A BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

Experience working on new product development (NPD) teams

Familiarity with Test Complete automation framework

Exposure to intellectual property considerations in product development

Knowledge of patient-centered design practices JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and develop cable harnessing for medical electromechanical systems

Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and compliance

Perform verification and validation activities in alignment with FDA and internal quality systems

Support the team in meeting project timelines, design milestones, and regulatory requirements

Assist in the development of testing standards and methodologies

Contribute to documentation and reports for design reviews, regulatory submissions, and risk assessments WHAT WE OFFER:
