Casual 0 - 40 hours/week - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Mondays - Saturdays

HealthSource Saginaw (HSS) is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant for our Medical Rehabilitation Center who is passionate about the work they do and who enjoy working in a fast paced, patient centered environment. Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, which generally involves two years in a specialized college program and one year of general college education and shall meet any current legal requirements of licensure. Abilities:

Physical abilities sufficient to lift equipment, transfer patients and reposition patients, as well as ability to stand and walk on a continuous basis throughout the workday.

Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group of staff and patients.

Documentation skills necessary to write clear and concise reports of patients' progress and responses to treatments.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit/department's policies and procedures.
