Grand River Navigation Company, part of Rand Logistics Corporation, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mate / First Class Pilot aboard our U.S. flagged self-unloading vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely manage a Navigation Watch.
Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's hull, decks, and superstructure.
Ensure safe loading and unloading of cargo.
Maintain lifesaving and firefighting equipment on board.
Oversee the Deck Department and coordinate the ordering of supplies.
Assist with other duties as assigned by the Vessel Master.

Requirements:
TWIC Card - Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
United States Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) issued by the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
Endorsement as Mate of Unlimited Tonnage upon the Great Lakes and Inland Waters.
First Class Pilot of Vessels of Unlimited Tonnage upon the Great Lakes.
Unexpired U.S. Passport or Enhanced Driver's License for entry into Canada.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction.
Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
Experience in team environments with a strong desire to collaborate.
