We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Alarm Installer/Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position in the construction industry, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our construction sites. This role requires a high level of technical understanding, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with Denver FA and other applicable standards.
Regularly inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are in good working order.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, utilizing a systematic approach to identify and address problems.
Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs.
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
Train other team members on fire alarm system operation and safety procedures.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients to provide updates and reports.
Drive to various construction sites as required. Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related role.
Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License.
Nicet II required
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of fire alarm system installation, testing, and maintenance.
In-depth understanding of electrical systems.
Experience with equipment calibration.
Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
