Position: Electro Mechanic II - Class A electro mechanic/ machinist
Location: City of Industry, CA
Shift : 3rd shift (Sunday - Thur 8:45 PM - 5:15 AM)
Pay Rate: $33.55-$36.18/hr (depending on experience) plus $1.00 shift differential
*Must be willing to work overtime if needed*

While reporting to the Plant Engineer OR Maintenance Supervisor, as the Electro Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.
What You'll Be Doing:
Maintaining and repairing facility-related equipment as directed by the management team.
Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM's, and rebuilds.
Collaboration across departments is crucial for proactive problem-solving, creating a synergistic work environment.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
Performing all duties in support of Sonoco's quality and safety policies.

Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls
Strong electrical and mechanical skills are fundamental requirements for individuals involved in maintaining and repairing facility equipment.
Welding and fabricating skills required.
Proficient at trouble shooting both electrical and mechanical
The ability to come up with creative solutions when a situation arises is a crucial skill in a manufacturing.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair should be proficient in a wide range of technical skills and be a seasoned troubleshooter.
Work with limited supervision and have leadership capabilities.
Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends
