We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable professionals to join our team as Adjunct Instructors for CPR and First Aid courses. MECC invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach CPR and First Aid courses in the Workforce Solutions Division. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering classroom instruction, guiding students through critical lifesaving skills. This is an exciting opportunity for those with expertise in emergency response, healthcare, or safety training to share their knowledge and equip students with valuable, lifesaving skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to be successful in the position:

Has a thorough understanding of the varied backgrounds and experiences of student populations and the ability to create a sense of belonging, support, and engagement that considers and values all students in curriculum development and teaching.

Teach both foundational and advanced life-saving techniques using a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on practice, demonstrations, and real-world scenarios.

Foster a positive, supportive, and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

Evaluate student performance through practical exams, written assessments, and participation in skills demonstrations, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Plan and prepare course materials, including presentations, handouts, and supplemental resources, in alignment with the course objectives and certification standards.

Provide guidance and support to students throughout the course, answering questions and assisting with skill practice to ensure mastery of the material.

Stay current with the latest CPR and First Aid guidelines, emergency response techniques, and teaching best practices to ensure course content remains relevant and accurate.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Minimum Required Qualifications:

Current AHA BLS Instructor Certification.

Two years of experience teaching Basic Life Support and First Aid in a healthcare or academic environment. Additional Considerations:

First responder or healthcare professional background.

Ability to align coursework with the MECC training site requirements.
