Our Specialty Vehicle group works with OEM's, up fitters, dealers and end use B2B, non-profit and government customers to design and build vehicles ideal for a wide variety of business and special uses. These include mobile medical, event marketing, community outreach and accessibility applications. Starting with advanced design capabilities, skilled craftsmen in a wide variety of specialty areas tailor vehicles to meet the exact needs of each application.
Primary Objective of Position: Plans, routes, installs and repairs various electrical components on custom coaches according to order specifications. Identifies electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Design electrical layout of RV with blueprints as needed
Install, wire and test lighting, HVAC, transfer switches, converters, inverters, TV, satellite and WIFI systems
Wire AC and DC load centers
Rewire and modify wiring including: 12V/110V outlets, switches and appliances according to National Electric Code
Power up large generators ranging from 3KW to 24KW or above as required
Run and test communication cables
Run diagnostic or startup software
Familiar with Volta Power Systems
Perform work under direct supervision and handles basic problems and refers more complex problems to higher level staff
Possess beginning knowledge of the subject matter
May interact directly with clients for training or troubleshooting purposes
Consistently works with an eye toward safety and continuous improvement for self and others

Able to read and interpret floorplans, layouts and technical diagrams
Mechanically inclined and is familiar with basic hand tools

Comfortable working in tight quarters Other Requirements
High School diploma or GED required
Previous relevant electrical experience preferred
Familiar with National Electric Code standards
Experience with installation and troubleshooting of 12V, 110V-480V, 3 phase, and CAT 5/6 circuits
Understanding of multiplexed wiring systems and CAD experience preferred
HVAC experience preferred but not required
Ability to use or be trained in on Quality Control Test Methods (QCTM). Internal certification will be required
