Key Responsibilities of the Travel Registered Nurse – MedSurg

• Provide direct care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform clinical interventions safely.

• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and respond to changes in status promptly.

• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with MedSurg unit and facility standards.

• Promote patient safety and deliver evidence-based nursing care.

Requirements for the Travel Registered Nurse – MedSurg Role

• Active Virginia RN license or eligibility.

• Current BLS certification.

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent MedSurg nursing experience.

• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
