Mr. Ammonia Refrigeration Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Field Service Technician to take a lead role servicing industrial ammonia and Freon-based systems across Ohio. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for routine and emergency service in food, beverage, and cold storage facilities, with a focus on screw/reciprocating compressors, controls, and electrical diagnostics. Key Responsibilities

Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of ammonia and Freon-based industrial refrigeration systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical systems, and alarm/control systems.

Deliver expert-level diagnostics and hands-on repairs on complex systems in food, beverage, and cold storage environments.

Respond to routine and emergency service calls with professionalism, urgency, and clear communication.

Maintain a clean, organized work truck, including tools and parts inventory.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies on-site and while traveling.

Accurately complete service reports, document findings, and communicate recommendations to clients and team members.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on field experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.

Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and compressor control systems.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing screw compressors and refrigeration alarms/control systems.

Strong troubleshooting skills across refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and drawings.

Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

CARO or CIRO certification a plus.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently, travel daily throughout Ohio, and occasionally work nights/weekends.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work safely at heights.

Full-Time - Monday to Friday

Flexibility required for occasional nights and weekends based on service needs

Location

Travel throughout Ohio with a flexible home base
