Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education

Hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Special Education

Experience working with elementary aged special needs students.

Knowledge of IEP writing and compliance

Knowledge of IDEA, Georgia DOE regulations, and early childhood developmental milestones.

Knowledge of and experience conducting and implementing FBAs and BIPs.

Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge of special education laws, techniques, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal

skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, IEPs, and progress monitoring.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students with special needs succeed.

Previous experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting is preferred.

Ability to assist students with mobility or physical needs as required by their IEPs.
