HR Project Partners is currently recruiting a Regional Coordinator on behalf of our Client, Ukrainian National Federation of Canada.
The Regional Coordinator is the lead staff member responsible for establishing, operating, and growing the Ukrainian Cultural & Settlement Hub in Corner Brook.
This role builds regional capacity to serve Ukrainian newcomers, oversees community programming, manages staff, supports case services, and ensures the successful delivery of all project activities across settlement services, economic integration, cultural programming, and community outreach.The Coordinator will guide multi-phase development, manage reporting, and maintain relationships with government, employers, municipalities, and community partners.This is a full-time position, located in Corner Brook, NL.
Travel across Western Canada and period travel to Labrador is required.
Essential Job Functions:Hub Establishment & OperationsSet up and manage the physical hub, including lease, furnishings, workspaces, library, children’s zone & offices.Establish governance and corporate structure for Western NL operations.Recruit, onboard and supervise regional staff, contractors, and volunteers.Implement sustainable operating systems, policies, financial tracking & security protocols.Settlement Services & Case NavigationOversee delivery of settlement supports, individual case management & service navigation.Ensure access to healthcare, education, transportation, government services & benefits.Coordinate referral pathways with partner agencies and assist with barrier resolution.Employment, Training & Entrepreneurship DevelopmentSupport delivery of workplace language programs, certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, Food Safety) and credential-recognition navigation.Implement newcomer business incubator stream, workshops, mentorship sessions & wage subsidy placements.Maintain verified database of job-seekers and employer contacts.Lead employer outreach across construction, healthcare, hospitality, agriculture and transportation sectors.Cultural, Youth & Community ProgrammingLaunch and oversee Ridna Shkola, cultural programming, outdoor integration activities & an annual summer camp.Support newcomer-led cultural initiatives including art, food heritage workshops, storytelling and seasonal community gatherings.Regional Planning, Outreach & Labrador SupportDevelop and maintain scheduled regional visits & outreach beyond Corner Brook.Support community engagement and collaboration with local governments, schools & service providers.Conduct regional scans to identify employment, childcare, healthcare, and transit gaps; report findings and pilot solutions.Monitoring, Evaluation & Government ReportingPrepare and submit quarterly narrative + financial reports.Track program outputs, outcomes, participant demographics & success metrics.Lead year-end evaluation and produce a two-year sustainability and growth plan.Collect photos, stories, partner activity notes & maintain public visibility updates.Education and Experience in program management, settlement services, community coordination, or nonprofit operations.Knowledge of immigration systems, rural integration challenges & newcomer supports is considered an asset.Strong leadership, staff supervision and volunteer management skills.Excellent reporting, documentation, budgeting and organizational capacity.Ability to travel regionally—including Labrador—quarterly and work some evenings/weekends.Ukrainian language an asset but not required; cultural competency essential.Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.Effective problem-solving skills.Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.How to Apply:When submitting your application to HR Project Partners for this opportunity, please submit a PDF version and clearly state the job title for which you are applying.About Us:HR Project Partners Inc.
