We are looking for a
GL Accountant
[Sofia, Bulgaria]
We are currently seeking an GL Accountant to support one of our accounting teams. The position will be based at ContourGlobal Office in Sofia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Bank related accounting activities and Control strictly all banking operations:
Ensure timely recording of treasury entries
Liaise with the Treasury to ensure a recurring bank reconciliation
Reconcile strictly the bank accounts
Report on and fix any issue
Assist the Senior accountant, FP&A and the Head of Finance in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process on a timely manner for the Spanish entities in respect of corporate guidance and instructions
Assist in the coordination and accounting activities on a sustainable basis:
Validate, justify and post any required accounting entry (routine and non-routine processes)
Preparation and analysis of aging report and bad debt
Provide integrity assurance on each and every GL upstream and downstream process: fixed assets (including capex recording and depreciation), payroll elements, inventory, determination of revenue and expense accruals and reconciliation, any required provision, expense reports, VAT (including SII tax report reconciliation) and any local tax provision,cash and bank information, issuance of intercompany invoices etc.
Provide the group with all necessary analysis and reports
Ensure filing and archiving of accounting supporting documents
Filling and presentation of surveys and different authorities’ requirements
Prepare the analysis and reconciliations necessary to qualify and explain the accounting information on a regular basis, of which but not limited to:
Intercompany reconciliation
Fixed Assets reconciliation
Bank reconciliation
Payroll reconciliation
Balance Sheet / Net equity reconciliation
Ensure the compliancy with the general principles and internal practices to get straight clearance of the statutory and management accounts on a timely manner:
Contribute to maintain high quality Internal Control Environment
Support to the audit reviews and answer to any request in case of one-time event and collaboration in financial statements (local and IFRS) preparation
Conduct appropriate communications with all contributors (Operations and Finance) to ensure proper collaboration
Organize support as needed internally, especially related to any legal and tax issue
Coordination with the Accounts Payable team with regards to payments
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant
3 to 4 years of general accounting experience and bookkeeping skills
English language skills are required, Spanish desirable.
SAP experience essential, BPC experience preferred
IFRS basic knowledge
Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures
Analytical skills and attention to details
Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, to meet strict deadlines and manage time efficiently
