Objective of the Position
The position is responsible for all the local procurement of the organization. The position is accountable to ensure that the local organization follows necessary global guidelines, procurement policies and practices in all the relevant processes in the organization.
Main Tasks
Operational Activities
Manage service contracts for head office and warehouse administrative services.
Collect required documents from suppliers for master data processes.
Prepare and approve Purchase Orders (PO) and contracts in SAP.
Verify recurring bills for administrative approval and forward for supervisor’s processing.
Check and verify bills submitted by service providers, suppliers, and contractors for day-to-day operations.
Liaise with C&F agents for documentation and clearing of samples.
Act as the local contact point for logistics procurement and coordinate with regional procurement.
Negotiate and execute contracts for all packing materials required for business operations.
Review and obtain necessary PO approvals for activities related to raised PRs.
Manage transportation of inbound and outbound materials as required by the site.
Tender Management
Prepare tender notices for disposal of company assets and publish them in newspapers.
Receive and evaluate bids against predefined criteria to ensure fairness and transparency.
Prepare comparative statements of quoted bids for submission to the tender committee.
Maintain all necessary documentation related to tenders.
Manage the process of asset handover to successful bidders.
Compliance and EHS
Ensure full compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct.
Act as a role model by adhering to all applicable laws and demonstrating high ethical standards.
Ensure employees comply with regulatory and BASF compliance requirements.
Manage and implement Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards for all teams and business partners.
Establish processes for monitoring, reporting, and reviewing compliance and EHS performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or any related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of SAP and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with EHS standards and compliance regulations.
Well versed in Microsoft Office Applications
