Desktop Support Engineer F/H

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting firm, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a short term onsite assignment in Kitimat, B.C.

This engagement runs from December 7 to December 12, 2025.

Training will be provided, as additional work is expected in the new year.

The initial focus of this assignment will be configuring phones.

As future work becomes available, the role will expand to include basic troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and network issues, as well as assisting with equipment setup.

Responsibilities: Configure and prepare phones for end users.

Assist with basic hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.

Support equipment setup and workstation preparation as needed.

Provide clear and helpful communication to onsite staff.

Follow instructions and complete tasks independently.

Requirements: Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.

Familiarity with common software and network troubleshooting.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Prior IT support experience is preferred.
