Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,450 - $2,620 per week

Location: Auburn, NY 13021 (New York nursing jobs)

Facility: Community Hospital, 90 beds

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 3/14/2026)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Options: 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) or 3x12 hour shifts

On-Call: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN license

Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification at time of submission

6 continuing education hours (CEUs) on stroke-related topics prior to start

Orthopedic OR nursing experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

COVID vaccine: Not required (proof or declination accepted)

Flu vaccine: Required (or declination with mask)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic procedures

Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled

Document care using Paragon charting system

Operate Olympus and Stryker surgical equipment

Maintain 1:1 patient-to-RN ratio in the OR

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Stay current with stroke-related nursing education and best practices
