We are seeking a Geriatric Nurse to join our team! As a Geriatric Nurse, you will spend your time caring for our aging patients, administering medication. You will also work closely with other nurses, activity staff and PCA. Offering support and guidance, and be a supportive, helpful presence to our clients. The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, has all the required licensing in the state, and works well independently as well as within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assessing clients and documenting monthly assessments

Administer prescribed medications as directed

Work with other disciplines such as activity director and cooking staff

Being a positive, supportive presence to our aging patientsQualifications

Active, valid nursing license within the state

Experience working with an aging population desired

Comfortability working independently and within a team

The ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Good documentation skills and computer skills
